Registration is closed

The 2022 Hospice Regattas Championship will be held September 29 - October 2 in Charleston, S.C. with the College of Charleston Sailing Association as the Organizing Authority.

The revised Notice of Race is now posted officially. Please review the entire document before starting the registration process.

“With Hobcaw Yacht Club serving as the site of on-shore activities and the College providing J/22s for the competition, we can gather safely and race in accordance with US Sailing guidelines,” said Mark LeNeave, president of the National Hospice Regatta Alliance.

Like other hospice regattas, the Championship raises funds and awareness of the non-profit Roper St. Francis Hospice, which operates a 20-bed inpatient facility not far from the College Sailing Center.

The Championship is an invitational regatta, open only to skippers and crew designated by their local regattas. The Alliance is e-mailing invitations to member-designated skippers, officially opening registration.

Entries will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. (Registration is not complete until the entry fee is paid.) If the number of paid registrations exceeds the number of boats available, we will maintain a waiting list.

“The Alliance and our three Charleston partners look forward to welcoming sailors from around the U.S. to our Championship in September,” LeNeave said.
